Military Transition Professional (MTP)

Information: This position is not too complicated. The MTPs are the center of the company. They work with the clients. Our clients are: teens, families, and individuals. Our clients can be entering the military, leaving the military, transitioning within the military, foreign combat veterans and/or their families immigrating to the US, or government employees. MTPs are responsible for maintaining professional relationships with their caseloads throughout their time at RTFMT. MTPs will work with clients on their goals with precision, out-of-the-box thinking, wide-base of knowledge, and speed. This is not a clinical position, it is a coaching, advocacy, and research position.


The knowledge and skills an MTP is required to possses are:

  • Great computer skills: Spreadsheets, Word docs, Presentations, Excel, and Computer Safety and Virus Protection
  • Interpersonal communication skills
  • Research skills
  • Assessments
  • Military and other documentation interpretation
  • Employment search skills
  • Resume skills
  • Life coaching skills
  • And possess the skill to learn fast.

Education: The highest education required for this position is a high school diploma.


Pay: This position is currently a volunteer position. We cannot give a timeframe on when it will be a paid position. Those who have been MTPs the longest will be offered the jobs.

Business Relations Manager

Job Description: This is a high-energy position for people who love to build relationships in the community.


This position is expected to:

  • Dress business casual
  • Be active out in the community: build awareness about RTFMT needs and create meaningful connections
  • Be confident and knowledgeable
  • Be able to meet strangers and leave on positive terms
  • Work in a business manner to create lines of communication for client employment, donors, and volunteers
  • Be able to work alone and also with one or two other Business Relations Managers
  • Document all contacts and keep a very tidy and organized list of notes
  • Be able to mediate meetings between RTFMT and the community contact(s)
  • Enjoy public speaking at times: Have a welcoming presenting voice and tone
  • Be able to write blogs and articles periodically
  • Have an active social media presence.

Education: Highest level of education requried is a high school diploma.


Pay: This is a volunteer position. No timeframe on when this will be a paid position can be given at this time. Volunteers with the longest time in service will be offered the position.

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Position Description: This position is required to uphold either the standards of The North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (NCBLCMHC) for LCMHC licensure or The North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board (NCSWCLB) for LCSW licensure. Every standard bullet point of professionalism is required.


Education: Must possess an LCMHC or LCSW licensure or higher. No associate level.


Pay: At this time, this position is a volunteer position. Volunteers with the longest time at RTFMT will be offered the paid position when it becomes available.
